Understanding PCOS
Women with PCOS fail to ovulate and have very few periods in a year. The follicles mature, rise to the surface of the ovary, but for reasons unknown they fail to release. As a result the corpus luteum doesn’t form and no progesterone is produced. The brain doesn’t detect any progesterone rise in the blood and therefore releases more FSH to stimulate more follicles. The surface of the ovary looks lumpy and bumpy with many semi-matured follicles just below the surface all having failed to ovulate – usually they are arranged in a pearl-necklace formation. Because of this disruption to the normal hormonal cycle PCOS sufferers generally develop higher levels of the hormone testosterone due to increase luteinizing hormone (LH) being released from the pituitary gland in the brain. With time, this has the effect on the PCOS sufferer of weight gain, acne and oily skin, and increased facial and body hair.

Dear Michael,
Happy New Year!
I am giving you feedback on the positive results I have expereienced after only 2-3 cycles using Profemme.
I feel it has made a big difference and has taken over balancing my hormonal system in a more positive way then even Ralovera.
Physically, I am feeling much better, less tired drained esp around week 3 & 4 of cycle. My mind seems more focussed.
I have also suffered systemic digestive problems (dysbiosis/systemic candida) for the last 10 yrs which progesterone seems to prevent. When taking the right amount of progesterone it just "magically" goes away.
Internet research has validated this for me.
It is wonderful to find the right product that helps & solves many (minor but debilitating) health problems in one go, so I would like to thank you very much for your creme and the help you gave last yr in answering my email questions.
I would be happy to recommend Profemme to anyone in a similar situation to myself.
Kind regards,
- Carol N.

Dear Carol
Your symptoms and medical history typifies progesterone deficiency.
Ralovera / Provera are synthetic analogues of progesterone with a much narrower spectrum of action. They are principally given in combination with oestrogen to prevent over stimulation of the uterine lining by the oestrogen.
I believe if you like the Ralovera you’ll find natural progesterone even more to your liking.
If you haven’t already viewed our website www.hormonesolutions.com.au I would suggest you do and take the Progesterone Deficiency Self Assessment test at http://www.hormonesolutions.com.au/content/natural-progesterone-cream/menopause-self-assessment.php
The short answer to your query is I would use the Pro_Feme® 3.2% cream 2 units (32 mg progesterone) once daily from day 12 -26 of your cycle (assuming you have a regular 28 day cycle). If it varies please let me know, because the dose and duration will need to be changed.
I have attached the Pro-Feme Prescribing Information, Consumer Medicine Information sheet and an Info booklet.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further information.
Yours sincerely

Subject: Replacement order
Hi Trish
Well I finally have some good news for you.The replacement that you sent arrived today. Total travel time was 14 days ....I just did one last check on the original order and the tracking still shows it in Vancouver, so its likely fallen under a bench or God knows what . At any rate I was pleasantly suprised to see that your shipping practice of lisiting it as a gift of body lotion enabled it to arrive without any duty etc.
I will be placing another order shortly and hopefully your tracking of the original order has a bit of luck and as we discussed, if it does eventually make its way here, I will let you know and make arrangements for payment. You can expect me to be an ongoing customer for years to come. Once again, thanks for the great customer service.
Best Regards
- Vern L.
